According to resolution No. 750 dated October 19, the government reduced the funds allocated to the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting for financing preparations and holding the contest from Hr 450 million to Hr 430.62 million.

The report notes this decision will ensure the committee’s returning the remaining unused funds in the amount of Hr  19.38 million to the reserve fund of the national budget.

Ukraine won the right to hold Eurovision 2017 after the victory of Ukrainian singer Jamala with the song “1944” at the contest in Stockholm. The contest will take place in Kyiv.
