The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Deputy Justice Minister Giya Getsadze.

“Giya Gizoyovich Getsadze has been dismissed from the post of deputy justice minister of Ukraine of his own accord,” Government Decree No. 93 of February 14 said.

Giya Getsadze was appointed to the post in February 2015. He was an associate of the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, who was appointed to a high post in Ukraine.

On February 18, 2015, Poroshenko created the International Reform Council and appointed Saakashvili, who was also his advisor, to the post of chairman. Previously, Alexander Kvitashvili had been appointed healthcare minister of Ukraine, Eka Zguladze had been appointed first deputy interior minister, Giya Getsadze had been appointed deputy justice minister, and David Sakvarelidze had been appointed deputy prosecutor general.
