The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine canceled the decision to reorganize Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons by joining the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

According to resolution No. 212 dated March 11, Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine was renamed the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, and the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine was renamed the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved that the Ministry for Veterans Affairs provides for the formation and implementation of public policy on social protection of war veterans, people with special merits to the Motherland, affected members of the Revolution of Dignity, their family members, as well as social protection of people covered by the law of Ukraine on status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection.

In turn, the Ministry for Reintegration ensures the formation and implementation of public policy on temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.

It is reported that the activities of these two ministries in 2020 will be financed from the funds assigned for the support of the Ministry for Veterans, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.
