You're reading: Cabinet extends powers of 4 members of Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board for 3 months

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed to extend the powers of the current Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia for three months.

This is stated in Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 666-r dated June 18, released on its website over the weekend.

“To elect Shevki Adzhuner and Andreas Mathieu as members of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia as independent members on June 20, 2021 for a period until the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine makes a decision on the election of independent members of the Supervisory Board from the candidates, winners of the competitive selection for the posts of independent members of the Supervisory Board, but no more than three months from the date of entry into force of this resolution,” the government said in the document.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers elected Serhiy Leshchenko and Oleh Zhuravliov as government representatives as members of Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board, also for a period of no more than three months.

Agreements with the abovementioned persons are extended by signing additional agreements with them by incumbent Head of Ukrzaliznytsia Ivan Yuryk.

Earlier, Adomas Auditskas was also a member of Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board as government representative. However, the Cabinet of Ministers did not say anything about the extension of his powers. At the same time, his powers as a member of the Supervisory Board of PJSC Trunk Gas Pipelines of Ukraine from the government terminated as well due to the agreement expiration.
