WASHINGTON – Ottawa is imposing sanctions on 114 individuals and 15 entities in response to Russia’s actions in the Kerch Strait and Crimea, the Canadian Foreign Ministry said on March 15.

“In coordination with the European Union and the United States, Canada is today announcing new sanctions in response to Russia’s aggressive actions in the Black Sea and Kerch Strait and Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea,” the statement reads.

Among individuals sanctions are imposed on Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, VTB CEO Andrei Kostin, and Director of the Russian National Guard Viktor Zolotov.

Such companies as Sukhoi Aviation, Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG, Tupolev, Stroygazmontazh, and Power Machines are included in the sanctions list.
