Mayor of Cherkasy ​​Anatoliy Bondarenko addressed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with an apology and a proposal to “forget about the confrontation.”

“We should forget about the confrontation between the mayor and the president. As mayor, I would like to apologize to the president for the fact that, in principle, I did not defend myself, but the residents of the city. I am a hot-tempered person, but I am a sincere person and I will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the patriots of Ukraine who will defend our country. Mr. President, I would like to apologize officially,” Bondarenko said in a video message posted on the Facebook.

He also said that following the meeting of the new convocation of the City Council, an executive committee was elected, which included representatives of such parties as Servant of the People, European Solidarity, For the Future and Cherkaschany. He called on the deputies to forget the pre-election quarrels and unite to solve the problems existing in the city.

As reported, on May 27, Mayor of Cherkasy Anatoliy Bondarenko filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
