According to preliminary data, one child was killed in the Petrovsky district of the city of Donetsk, and two more children were injured as a result of an incident with an unexploded ordnance, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has reported.

“These tragic events, which quite naturally raised a wave of indignation and anger among the long-suffering population of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, only highlight the urgent need for the sides to stop the fire. In accordance with the commitments undertaken in Minsk, the parties must withdraw heavy weapons, forces and means, and hold demining. The parties’ failure to meet these obligations has led to civilian casualties in Donetsk,” the mission said in a statement on Facebook.

In total, according to the OSCE, several facilities in the Kyivsky district of Donetsk, which is temporary beyond Ukrainian government control, fell under heavy fire, and two men were injured. The Donetsk Filtering Station in the town of Yasynuvata and the Verkhnekalmiusske Filtering Station were also shelled. Chlorine tanks at the stations have not been damaged.
