Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee has fined Ukrcourier LLC Hr 430,000 for violation of the law on protection of competition in the form of spreading untrue information.
“An individual businessman was fined Hr 34,000 and Ukrcourier LLC Hr 430,000 for violation of the law on protection of competition in the form of spreading untrue information posted on the website www.ukrcourier.com that Ukrcourier is a national postal operator,” the committee said last week.
Earlier the committee fined Ukrcourier’s parent company – Regional Energy Company LLC (both based in Odesa) Hr 34,000 for non-provision of information in the due term.
The registrar of the domain name of Ukrcourier’s website is Imena.UA national domain name registrar belonged to Internet Invest LLC. In turn, Internet Invest told the committee that the domain name was registered to Oleksandr Chumak, the co-founder of Regional Energy Company LLC.
According to the unified register of companies, Chumak owns almost 99% in Regional Energy Company and Hanna Chumak owns 1%.
