You're reading: Costa Rica abolishes visas for Ukrainians travelling up to 90 days

The government of Costa Rica from December 2016 has introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine, who are travelling for up to 90 days with any type of passport.

The necessary requirement for the entry of a Ukrainian citizen to Costa Rica is the availability of the passport document, the validity of which is not less than 90 days at the time of the alleged departure from Costa Rica, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s Department of Consular Service said on the official Facebook page on Dec. 28.

A fee of $29 must be paid when exiting the territory of the state regardless of the type of passport the traveler possesses.
