The Sixth Administrative Appeals Court has dismissed a suit by Batkivschyna Party leader and presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko against incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, whom she accused in using his position for illegal campaign. The decision illustrates the state of judicial reform, Batkivschyna Party member and parliament deputy Serhiy Vlasenko has said.
“During consideration of the case and in the court decision, the court recognized all the circumstances referred to by Tymoshenko, but at the end the court was afraid to say that it was a violation of the law. These are the coward, non-professional courts that Poroshenko created to cover his election fraud,” Vlasenko said, according to the party’s press service.
Vlasenko said the ruling would be appealed.
