The Administrative Court of Appeals, which is part of the new Supreme Court of Ukraine, has postponed the consideration of the complaint of leader of New Forces Movement Mikheil Saakashvili against the decree of President Petro Poroshenko to deprive him of Ukrainian citizenship to February 16.

The court passed the corresponding decision at a meeting on January 29 after Saakashvili’s lawyer Ruslan Chornolutsky filed a request regarding information on the composition of the panel of judges to consider the case.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko deprived Saakashvili of Ukrainian citizenship in 2017, when the latter was abroad. Saakashvili arrived in Ukraine on the evening of September 10, after his supporters had gathered at the Shehyni checkpoint and essentially forced their way across the border from the Ukrainian side, thus helping him cross it.
