You're reading: Court rules to detain ex-head of Ukrainian Sea Port Authority with Hr 12 million bail option

Solomiansky district court of Kyiv has ruled to detain former head of the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority Andriy Amelin suspected of embezzling funds of the authority with a Hr 12 million bail option.

The Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) said on its Facebook page that the court also ruled that another suspect – director of Techmorhydrobud Mykolaiv LLC – is detained with a Hr 1.999 million bail option.

On Jan.29, 2018, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) detained seven persons suspected of embezzlement of Hr 247 million from the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority.
