Ukraine has received from COVAX program (Global Fund for Access to COVID-19 Vaccines) the official approval of a request for a vaccine against coronavirus disease, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said.

“Now, in addition to the planned purchases of the vaccine for budgetary funds, Ukraine will receive for sure more than eight million doses of vaccine for free. Syringes for injections as well. We continue to work to ensure that refrigeration equipment (+2 … + 8) for vaccination points arrives as soon as possible. The Ministry of Health will involve the state enterprise Ukrvaktsyna and private companies in the logistics process (to provide access to equipment for ultra-cold storage, with a temperature regime of -60/-80 degrees Celsius),” Liashko wrote on his Facebook page.

Also, the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine said that access to the coronavirus vaccine through COVAX determines the future of the global health system, and Ukraine is a full-fledged member of this team.
