Ukraine has identified 1,090 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as of 9 a.m. on July 31. There are currently 29,439 active cases across the country.

The largest numbers of new cases were registered in Lviv Oblast (147), Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (111) and Kyiv (110).

The total number of infections identified in Ukraine since the start of the pandemic stands at 69,884. A total of 38,752 people have recovered and 1,693 have died of the disease.

Of all cases registered in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, 77 are children and 78 are medical workers.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine has recorded 20 deaths from COVID-19, 261 patients have been hospitalized and 598 have recovered.

In total, 15,427 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests were administered across the country during the past 24 hours. In addition, Ukrainian laboratories carried out 17,957 antibody tests (ELISA), Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at his morning briefing on July 31.
