The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Security Service of Ukraine on Tuesday detained a citizen of Ukraine suspected of infringing on the territorial integrity of the country by creating and posting video clips on the Internet calling for changing the state border of Ukraine.

“The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, together with officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, in the context of criminal proceedings on the facts of Russia’s aggressive war in the information sphere against Ukraine, conducted a search at the place of residence of a citizen of Ukraine suspected of committing a criminal offense under Article 110 Part 2 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, by creating and posting on the Internet a number of video clips calling for the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine,” prosecutors said.

Law-enforcement agents found and seized objects and documents confirming the commission of an incriminating offense showing suspect’s criminal activities to the detriment of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

According to the search results, the man was detained. In the near future, a petition will be sent to the court to elect a preventive measure in the form of custody during the pretrial investigation.
