You're reading: Czech Republic supports extending sanctions against Russia, Norway calls for continuing anti-corruption reform in Ukraine

The Czech Republic supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and preservation of sanctions against the Russian Federation, Czech Foreign Minister Martin Stropnicky has said at a meeting with Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin in Munich.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the parties noted an active political dialogue between the two countries and discussed the issues on the agenda of Ukrainian-Czech cooperation.

The Czech diplomat assured his counterpart that the policy of the government on the further practical support of Ukraine’s European integration aspirations remained unchanged.

Klimkin also met with Foreign Minister of Norway Ine Eriksen Soreide in Munich. The Ukrainian minister thanked Norway for its continued support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, for understanding the need to maintain sanctions against Russia until it fully fulfills its obligations under the Minsk accords.

Klimkin acquainted his colleague with the security situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and outlined Ukraine’s vision of ways to resolve the conflict on the basis of the Minsk Agreements and involving international peacekeeping forces.
