Ukraine recorded a total of 39,620 new daily Covid cases on February 2. The figure is a big rise on the previous day and a new record since the pandemic began in spring 2020, the Ukrainian Health Ministry reported.
A total of 4,136 people were hospitalized and 210 Covid-19 patients died. The Health Ministry also reported that 9,380 people recovered on February 2.
The worst-hit areas are Ivano-Frankivsk (2,423), Lviv (2,369), Zhytomyr (2,933) and Odesa (2,982) Regions and the capital (2,437).
Official data shows a total of 4,169,897 cases since its outbreak, which has resulted in 100,809 deaths in Ukraine.
