World in Ukraine: France 

  • Ukraine Loves France. In its 15th print issue of 2019, the Kyiv Post takes a look at the political, business and cultural ties between Ukraine and France in our regular feature “World in Ukraine.”

  • Kyiv Post Employment Fair paves way for new careers. At least 800 people and 35 companies participated in the Kyiv Post Employment Fair on April 6 at Toronto-Kyiv business center.
  • Ukrainian culture takes center stage at London’s Chatham House. Ukrainian culture got a boost after the EuroMaidan Revolution, the popular uprising that drove President Viktor Yanukovych from power in 2014, including the creation of a Ukrainian Cultural Foundation in Kyiv. Its expert, along with one from British Council Ukraine, came to London to discuss how culture helps Ukrainians to cope with the country’s instability
  • City Life: Cherry blossoms, magnolias come into bloom in these Ukrainian cities. The blossoms are out early this spring in western Ukraine and the capital Kyiv. They are among the first flowering trees to bloom, along with magnolias, to be followed by lilac trees and chestnuts.
  • Meet Ukraine’s new star rapper, Alyona Alyona. It took Alyona Savranenko, known by her stage name Alyona Alyona, half a year to go from working at a nursery school to being unofficially titled Ukraine’s best rapper.
