  • US President Donald Trump blasted Germany at a NATO breakfast yesterday over Nord Stream 2, saying the pipeline ‘should never have been allowed to happen.’
  • NATO leaders will reiterate their support for Ukraine, but not grant it advanced partner status, said Jens Stoltenberg as the July 11 NATO summit began in Brussels.
  •  And NATO reaffirmed the Bucharest Declaration at that summit, which states that Ukraine and Georgia will eventually become NATO members. They also released a statement condemning Russia’s annexation of Crimea.
  • Meanwhile, Ukraine’s IT talent pool looks to grow even more, with the Swedish goverment to provide $1.7 million in a partnership with Beetroot to spread IT schools across Ukraine.
  • The in absentia cases department of Ukraine’s Prosecutor’s Department has been liquidated. This unit was responsible for the investigation of the murders of over 100 people during the EuroMaidan revolution. Some say this will lead to the “collapse” of the EuroMaidan investigation.
  • Ukrainian footballer Andriy Yarmolenko is leaving the German Borussia Dortmund football club for Britain’s West Ham. Yarmolenko wrote that he was happy about the move, and delighted to now be playing in the Premier League.
