Russia is preparing to discredit Ukraine by blaming it for preparing acts of terror in the occupied areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Russia-occupied Crimea, Defense Ministry Spokesman Oleksandr Motuzianik has said.
“Russia will strengthen its anti-Ukrainian information campaign and justify aggressive actions in the Azov-Black Sea region by fabricating reasons for discrediting Ukraine. Russia is preparing to accuse Ukraine of preparing terrorist acts,” he said, adding Russia does not exclude the possibility of sabotaging its own facilities of critical infrastructure, such as thermal power plants, ports, bridges, enterprises that use hazardous substances in production, transport, etc., and blaming it on Ukraine.
Motuzianik said such behavior by Russia, in and of itself, constitutes a provocation.
