The Verkhovna Rada’s Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova has again asked Russian Human Rights Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova to ensure reciprocal visits by doctors to Editor-in-Chief of RIA Novosti Ukraina Kirill Vyshinsky, accused in Ukraine of treason, and the Ukrainian Pavlo Hryb, who is accused in Russia.

“I learned that Moskalkova wants us to provide access for independent doctors to Vyshinsky. She confirmed in the letter that I would not mind, but subject to the simultaneous admission of doctors to Pavlo Hryb, who is in a supercritical state,” Denisova said on Facebook on Friday.

Denisova said due to chronic diseases and the lack of qualified assistance, the state of health of Pavlo Hryb has deteriorated significantly overall.

“A medical examination should be carried out as soon as possible. One and a half years behind bars, torture and lack of treatment can lead to irreversible consequences. I look forward to you reaction,” she said.
