Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Antonio Missiroli in Brussels on Friday, March 9, and announced the launch of situational centers to respond to computer security incidents in public information infrastructure, which is currently at the final stage, according to the website of the Ukrainian government.

When asked by Missiroli how Ukraine is now dealing with cyberattack issues, Klympush-Tsintsadze said that progress had been achieved in the implementation of the first stage of the Cyber Defense Trust Fund.

“In particular, she stressed that the launch of computer security incident response centers in public information infrastructure is already at the final stage. One of such centers is already operating at the Ukrainian Security Service,” reads the statement.

“The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is at the forefront of cyberattacks. Hopefully, a joint approach to solving problems in this sector will be presented in the near future. Given the need to counteract Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, we can say that we are running this marathon at a top speed,” Klympush-Tsintsadze said.
