The Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons has said that detention of Deputy Minister Yuriy Hrymchak does not concern the activities of the ministry and it is not related to the exercise of official duties by him as deputy minister, the press service of the ministry has reported.

“According to information available to the Ministry for Occupied Territories, the detention of Yuriy Hrymchak does not concern the activities of the ministry and is not related to the exercise of official duties as deputy minister,” the ministry said on its official Twitter page.

In addition, according to the press service of the ministry, reports of the detention of the “assistant to the deputy minister” are not correct, since there is no “assistant to the deputy minister” post in the staffing table of the ministry.

“The person mentioned in the media is not an employee of the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons,” the ministry said.
