You're reading: Dispatch From Odesa: Ukraine repelled Russian Sabotage Group’s Landing

Russian forces tried to land a sabotage and reconnaissance group ashore in Odesa Region. This was reported by Colonel Vladislav Nazarov, officer of the Southern Operational Command, on March 27.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempt by Russian marines to carry out an amphibious landing in Odesa. The enemy used high-speed boats.

“The enemy received a worthy rebuff; the saboteurs were destroyed”, Nazarov said.
The report did not provide further details about any enemy losses, nor the military objective of the landing party.

The Russians continue to conduct reconnaissance of the coastline and the Black Sea with the help of aircraft, but the Ukrainian air defence systems of the Odesa region are up t-o the task.

On March 26, the situation in Odesa and Odesa Region was stable and controlled.

This Russian unsuccessful operation follows the recent increased military pressure on Odesa by invaders in order to create psychological pressure on the Ukrainian defenders and disrupt their morale. But the result is exactly the opposite.
