The Chinese government supports the solution of the ‘Ukrainian crisis’ by peaceful means, Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Du Wei has said.
“The Ukrainian crisis has been going on for several years now, and the two sides of this conflict are suffering. I want to say that despite everything, Ukraine and Russia are friendly countries and strategic partners for China. We are lamenting. Concerning the crisis in Ukraine, the Chinese government adheres to the position of fairness and objectivity, and we stand for the solution of the issue in peaceful way,” he said in Kyiv on Friday at a press conference on the occasion of the establishment of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China.
The ambassador noted that the Chinese government supports international efforts of the parties to resolve the ‘Ukrainian crisis.’ “We, too, are ready to continue our efforts to resolve the issue,” the diplomat said.
