Ukrainian Education and Science Minister Liliya Hrynevych has said that 448,578 children will go to the first grade this year.
“More than 448,500 first graders across the country will study according to the new state standard of primary school,” the minister said during a government meeting in Kyiv on August 29.
According to her, this is 40,300 students more than in 2017.
