A former officer from the Berkut special-forces unit, Alexander Sattarov, who is being tried in Kyiv for involvement in the “self-defense” of Crimea, is undergoing legal procedures which could lead to his exchange for one of the Ukrainian sailors detained in Russia, Sattarov’s lawyer Ihor Svintsitsky told Crimean.Realities, a news outlet, on August 22.

“He is due for a swap. And he is being swapped for one of our sailors. This information was officially confirmed,” Svintsitsky said, without elaborating.
