Ex-co-founder of Studio Kvartal 95, actor Denys Manzhosov, has said he never saw showman and presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy use drugs.

Appearing on the Pryamiy TV channel on Thursday, Manzhosov said, “I tell you this is not true … This is nonsense.” He added, “Is it a global standard for presidential candidates to be tested for drug use?”

Manzhosov with Zelenskiy co-founded the Kvartal-95 team for Klub Vesyolykh i Nakhodchivykh or Ka-Ve-En (“Club of the Funny and Inventive People”) in 1997. KVN is a Russian humour TV show and an international competition where teams (usually college students) compete by giving funny answers to questions and showing prepared sketches, that originated in the Soviet Union. Studio Kvartal 95 was created on the basis of the team in 2002. Manzhosov left the project in 2013 because of a conflict with colleagues.
