Sevki Acuner, former head of the representative office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Ukraine, has filed a lawsuit to the Kyiv District Administrative Court against the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the press service of the court, among the requirements of the lawsuit is to declare illegal and cancel the decision of the NBU Committee on supervision and regulation of banks, oversight of payment systems, which refused Acuner approval for the post of chairman of the supervisory board of Oschadbank (Kyiv).

Acuner considers this decision to be biased, illegal and one that is adopted by the regulator in excess of authority, the report says.

The issue of opening proceedings is currently being decided.

As reported, on August 16, the NBU expressed concern about the procedure by which the newly elected supervisory board of Oschadbank extended the contract with chairman of the board Andriy Pyshny without a tender.
