Former Director General of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania has been elected as the head of the Public Broadcasting Supervisory Board.

The supervisory board made the corresponding decision on April 10 following the results of voting in the second round of the tender.

Alasania scored ten votes of the supervisory board members, while his main competitor, head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Oleh Nalyvaiko scored seven votes in the second round.

As a result of the first round, they both scored eight votes, one vote was given to Roman Vybranovsky.

As reported, the conditions of the tender stipulate that the head of the Public Broadcasting Supervisory Board will be paid UAH 76,800 a month plus benefits and bonuses.

The winner of the tender will sign a contract for a period of four years with the right to be re-appointed based on a tender.

Alasania, Nalyvaiko, Vybranovsky, Yuriy Darahan, Oleksandr Kovalenko, Oleksandr Zirin, Oleksandr Zorka and Marek Sierant took part in the tender for this position.
