You're reading: Ex-MP Nayyem appointed Ukroboronprom deputy director

Ukrainian MP of the VIII convocation Mustafa Nayyem has been appointed to the post of Deputy Director General of the state concern Ukroboronprom, the press service of the state concern told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Mustafa Nayyem was attracted as an advisor to the director general back at the beginning of August. On Nov. 11, 2019 he was appointed to the position of deputy director general for interaction with public authorities,” the press service said.

Nayyem himself confirmed this information, adding that he will be responsible for managing relations with state authorities, as well as specialized non-governmental organizations and international partners of Ukroboronprom.

As reported, in mid-September, director general of Ukroboronprom, ex-minister of economics Aivaras Abromavicius appointed four of his deputies: Roman Bondar from the recruiting company Odgers Berndtson Ukraine – on transformation issues, Nadia Bihun from ProZorro – on procurement, Serhiy Ivaniuta with experience in NBU and Ukrgazvydobuvannia – to the financial and economic department, Oleh Yakovenko with experience in the Ministry of Economic Development – to the project office of the state concern.

Then, Danylo Fedorchuk from the Antimonopoly Committee with experience in Beiten Burkhardt became the deputy director general for legal issues, and Mykhailo Morozov, who led the ISTIL group for more than 10 years and had experience in managing special exporters, in particular, state-run enterprise Progress, became the marketing and sales manager.

In November, Ruslan Korzh became the deputy director general of Ukroboronprom for aircraft and rocket engineering, who previously worked as the deputy of Abromavicius in the Ministry of Economy, and Nadia Vasylyeva, who, in particular, held the position of Microsoft Ukraine company’s director general until December 2017, became responsible for issues of digitalization and innovation.
