Volodymyr Groysman, Ukraine’s prime minister, has threatened to resign if lawmakers fail to adopt legislation to form an anti-corruption court which is viewed as key to cracking endemic political corruption and unfreezing a crucial $17.5bn International Monetary Fund assistance programme.

Mr Groysman said early on June 4 that he will resign “if this court, fair and independent, isn’t created.” He did not provide a definitive timeframe.
