You're reading: Fire at warehouses on Tupoleva Street in Kyiv put out, no casualties reported

The fire in a one-storeyed warehouse on 17 Akademika Tupoleva St., in Kyiv, the area of which reached 800 sq.m., has been put out.

“At 6:15 p.m. the fire was localized, and at 7:05 p.m. it was liquidated. There are no injured or killed in the fire,” the General Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv said in a message, published on the website of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on March 13.

Some 70 people of personnel and 18 units of the main and special fire and rescue equipment of the department were working on the site.

As reported, rescuers received information about the fire at 4:47 p.m. on March 13. The ignition area reached 800 square meters and there was a threat of spreading the fire to a nearby 6-storeyed office building. Rescuers took 10 gas cylinders out of the room and cooled them.
