You're reading: Fiscal service distrains Ukrnafta’s assets for an additional 3.3 billion hryvnias

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine has distrained an additional 3.3 billion hryvnias of assets of public joint-stock company Ukrnafta, the press service of the authority has reported.

“A tax manager additionally distrained assets of Ukrnafta for the amount of 3.3 billion hryvnias (wells and equipment) for tax collateral, according to information received from the Geoinform Ukraine,” the authority said.

The press service said that Ukrnafta is trying to challenge the previous distrain of its assets for UAH 11.2 billion in court.

The tax debt of Ukrnafta today is around UAH 15 billion.

As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 50 percent plus one share stake in Ukrnafta, a group of companies related to Ihor Kolomoisky and other former shareholders of PrivatBank hold about 42 percent of the shares.
