Russian mercenaries have opened fire on Ukrainian positions in Donbas four times over the past day, with no casualties reported, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters (HQ) has said.

“Over the past day, on October 27, the Russian-occupation troops violated the agreements that came into effect on July 27, 2020 four times in the sectors of responsibility of our units … The Ukrainian military did not use weapons in response to enemy fire provocations. Combat losses and injuries among the personnel of the Joint Forces were not reported,” the JFO staff said in its morning update on Facebook on Wednesday.

In particular, in the area of the settlement of Vodiane, the enemy used an automatic heavy grenade launcher, and not far from the settlement of Pisky – a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. In addition, two more facts of ceasefire violations were recorded in the area near Shumy, where the enemy opened fire from a grenade launcher in the evening.

“Since the beginning of this day, October 28, silence has been observed along the entire contact line. No violations of the peace agreements reached have been recorded,” the report said.
