The new minister told the Verkhovna Rada that he’s mainly concerned with improving management quality and cooperation between the Defense Ministry, parliament and the General Staff of the armed forces. He said he will do an internal audit to prevent misappropriation and increase efficiency.

Reznikov is a lawyer and has been involved in politics since the late 2000s, having served as a  member of the Kyiv City Council and the Kyiv City State Administration, becoming deputy head of the latter in April 2016.

Iryna Vereshchuk will take over as the Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories. Vereshchuk was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 as a member of the Servant of the People party.
