Russia-backed separatists violated the ceasefire in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, having mounted 28 attacks on Ukrainian troops since April 24 midnight, the press center for the headquarters of Ukraine’s military operations in Donbas has reported.

“Four Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action. They were hospitalized,” the HQ said in an update on Facebook as of 6:00 p.m. local time on April 24.

In the Donetsk sector, proscribed 120mm mortars were used to shell Ukrainian positions near the village of Vodiane, while Ukrainian troops stationed near the village of Shyrokyne came under 82mm mortar fire. Russia-led forces used grenade launchers and small arms to fire at strongholds of the Ukrainian army near the villages of Lebedynske, Talakivka, Lomakyne, and the towns of Avdiyivka and Maryinka. Grenade launchers were used to shell Ukrainian positions near the villages of Novotroitske and Pyshchevyk; large-caliber machine guns were used near the village of Pavlopil, and small arms near the town of Kamianka. Separatist snipers were active near the villages of Talakivka and Pavlopil.

In the Luhansk sector, Russia-backed separatists used proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops stationed near the villages of Luhanske and Novoluhanske. Troyitske were under 82mm mortar fire. Grenade launchers and small arms were used near the village of Valuiske.
