French film director Jacques Audiard, alongside Ken Loach and David Cronenberg and over a hundred others from the film world, called Monday for the release of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is on hunger strike in a Russian jail.
Sentsov, 42, is serving a 20-year-sentence in a Siberian prison on terrorism charges after being convicted three years ago of arson in his native Crimea following its annexation by Moscow.
