Georgian military led by Defense Minister Levan Izoria will participate in a parade to mark the Ukrainian Independence Day on August 24, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said in a telephone call with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

“In his [Margvelashvili’s] telling, on August 24 the Georgian military led by the defense minister of Georgia will take part in a solemn parade in honor of the Ukrainian Day of Independence,” the Ukrainian head of state’s press office said after the call.

On August 24, the Independence Day, around 70 units of military hardware will be on display at Maidan Square in Kyiv, and representatives from about ten partner countries will take part in the military parade, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said on August 4.
