Organizers of the car shelling of the first aide to the President of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir supposed that he and everyone who was with him at the time would die, Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko said.

“According to the plan of those who conceived, organized, and carried out this crime, Serhiy Shefir and everyone who would be with him in the car should have died. But it does not always happen that the killers and organizers get what they set out to do,” Gerashchenko said on the air of Right to Power (Pravo na Vladu) program on the 1+1 television channel on Thursday.

According to him, the original task of the killer was to shoot the driver to hit him.

“In such cases, according to experienced saboteurs, and as saboteurs and killers are taught, the driver, receiving a bullet, usually loses control, the car becomes uncontrollable, goes into a ditch, hits a tree and then the killer could shoot with impunity anyone in it. That is why the first shots fell on the front of the car, they hit the hood,” Gerashchenko said.

The adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs also said that, according to experts, 18 bullets hit the car.

“Indeed, Serhiy Shefir and his driver were born a second time yesterday,” he said.
