Switzerland’s commodities trader Glencore International has continued the gradual withdrawal from agriculture by selling the rest of its Ukrainian agricultural assets in the second half of 2017, the company has said in its annual report posted on its website.

As reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in 2017-2018 issued permits to buy silos, grain production centers and agricultural enterprises from Glencore. In January 2018, the committee allowed GRV-Agro (Britain) to purchase a silo from Glencore. Late July 2017, the committee permitted Agroalliance International to buy two grain-production centers from Glencore.

Early July 2017, the committee permitted companies belonged to MP Oleksandr Hereha and his wife Halyna to buy 10 agricultural enterprises from Glencore. In March of 2017 the committee permitted Kernel to buy 10 agricultural enterprises from Glencore
