You're reading: Goods turnover of EVO marketplaces in Ukraine 64% up in H1 2017

Goods turnover of EVO Group’s marketplaces (Prom.ua, Bigl.ua, Crafta.ua, Kabanchik.ua, Goodini.ua) in January-June 2017 totaled Hr 6.6 billion, which is 64% more than a year ago.

The company said in a press release that average bill grew by 8%, to Hr 704.

EVO marketing director Oleksandr Filanovsky said that marketplaces are growing twice quicker than the e-commerce market in Ukraine.

“This is linked to the fact that marketplaces are universal and are not afraid of changes in demand on concrete categories of goods. Whatever category grows, marketplaces are growing with them, compared with online shops, which are often hostages of one or two categories of goods,” he said.

Filanovsky said that in the future sales in the beauty and health category and the homeware and gifts category will grow.

“A large tend appeared at the end of 2016 and it is actively developing in 2017: large growth in demand on food and beverages. Consumers are ready to buy food online – now it is time for sellers to act,” the group said.

EVO’s core business is marketplaces. The group’s projects are launched in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
