The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the terms for using analog television broadcasting until March 30, 2018.
Government resolution No. 563 has been posted on its website.
“The government decided to gradually annul analog TV signal with a deadline of March 30, 2018. It is aimed not to violate rights of citizens to free access to information,” the explanatory note to the document says.
The adoption of the resolution would allow conducting a broad information campaign, connect the population to digital networks and expand the coverage with digital signal in Ukraine.
