Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has described the Russian gas project Nord Stream 2 as a form of secret war waged on European consumers.

“Nord Stream 2 is a form of secret war on Europe. We know how it is to be independent from Russia in the respect of energy and politics. We know from our experience how dangerous this is. So we view this project as a geopolitical weapon of Russia,” Groysman told the Die Welt in an interview on Dec. 2

He said he had offered European partners to manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system together.

“We have offered our partners in the West to govern our gas transportation system together. Its capacity stands at 140 billion cubic meters. Our facilities can store gas for up to 1,000 days. This is a large potential,” Groysman said.
