Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has congratulated all Orthodox Christians on the Nativity of Christ.
“This year’s Christmas is special not only for every Orthodox Christian but for the whole nation. Along with the birth of Jesus Christ, an independent Ukrainian church has been revived! The dream of hundreds of generations of Ukrainians has come true – the local autocephalous Ukrainian church has entered the list of independent Orthodox churches in the world,” the PM said in his congratulatory speech.
He wished everyone “heavenly thoughts, inward peace and good health.”
