The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes that the draft national budget for 2019 is based on the forecast of the economic growth next year of 3 percent.

“For 2019 we plan that the expected figure would remain 3 percent. We assume that Ukraine’s GDP would grow,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at an extraordinary government meeting on Friday.

He said that the government intends to reach the 5-7 percent growth of the economy in the medium term outlook.

Commenting on the inflation projections, the head of government said that the document announces expectations of consumer price growth by 7.4 percent.

“In other words, our revenue will be stable, while prices, if they raise, would not grow in the pace seen in the previous years… Our economic and financial policy allows us to have inflation lower 8 percent, or 7.4 percent to be exact,” he said.
