The draft national budget for 2019 projects a decline in the ratio of aggregate state (direct) and guaranteed debt and gross domestic product (GDP) to 52.2 percent, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

“Our strategy in this budget is the reduction of the ratio of the state debt and GDP… For 2019 we plan that it will be 52.2 percent and 49 percent in 2020,” he said, presenting the document at an extraordinary government meeting in Kyiv on Sept. 14.
