Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says the Ukrainian government proposes Hr 5.4 billion, or $192 million, in budget funds for culture in 2019.

While presenting the draft national budget for 2019 at a government meeting in Kyiv on September 14, Groysman said Hr 1 billion would be allocated for the development of Ukrainian cinematography alone.

In addition, Hr 0.5 billion is to be funneled into the general budget for cultural activities.
