Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has called on citizens of Ukraine never to forget the victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy.

“There were Jews, Roma people, Soviet prisoners of war and fighters of the Ukrainian liberation movement among those executed by firing squads. We remember each of them,” the prime minister wrote on his Facebook account on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre.

Groysman also cited Academician Ivan Dziuba, who said that the Babyn Yar executions were a tragedy for the whole of mankind, which, however, had happened on the Ukrainian land and, consequently, the Ukrainians, as well as the Jews, had no right to forget it.
