Leader of the Groysman’s Ukrainian Strategy political party Volodymyr Groysman insists on the transparent distribution of $2.7 billion received by Ukraine within the special initiative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He made the relevant statement on the air of the Ukraine 24 television channel on August 29.

According to the politician, the key areas of such distribution should be a subsidy program, indexation of pensions and the minimum wage, as well as financial support for business.

“It would be fair to direct money in two directions, support of people and development of the economy. Who suffered from the pandemic? Enterprises and entrepreneurs. Social protection issues are the number one issue,” Groysman said.

He cited statistics according to which prices in Ukraine jumped by a third, “therefore, the indexation of the minimum wage is very relevant.”

“About Hr 30 billion is not enough for subsidies,” the politician said.

“We need to index pensions, support entrepreneurs, especially small and micro-entrepreneurs. The only problem is that there is no economic strategy. Everyone in the world is cutting taxes, and what is the current government ‘throwing out?’ An incompetent government cannot professionally approach the solution of issues,” the politician said.

According to him, the current Cabinet of Ministers has failed its main tasks, primarily on vaccination and preparation for a new wave of coronavirus (COVID-19), and “now there is a risk that the lion’s share of money from the IMF can also be hidden.”
